That happened to me also a while ago, I think i just ended up having to restore my ipod again.

I guess if you dont want to restore you could SSH into your ipod and manually delete the application folders.

Mobile terminal is a command prompt application for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Its basically the same thing as a program called "Putty" for a computer except its on your mobile device.

I had the same problem, with DiskAid you can do the same job without needing MobileTerminal. Also, i deleted not only the /Applications/MobilePhone.app application but also the /Applications/MobileSMS.app application too, just to make sure. (In DiskAid you have to change to root at bottom left of GUI after ipod found via USB). The rebooted. Reinstalled Transformer and set all Iphone behaviour, same problem, no icons shown at all, even though they were set as visible in poof.

The solution for me then was to install categories, create a randomly named category, put the phone, camera and sms application into that category. Then resprung the springboard. Icons appeared in the category. Then moved the icons out of the category and deleted the category... woo hoo, they appeared on the springboard. Uninstalled categories and job done!

After the next restore, I won't be going through that routine again!
