I know there's a guide for this but its for windows and I wanna know how to do this on a Leopard mac. Any suggestions? I've tried using touch copy but there's a 40 song limit and I don't really wanna pay for something ill just use once.

Since your music contains all the ID3 tags, just drag this folder onto your desktop then into iTunes:

    ~/var/mobile/media/iTunes_Control/Music/

All the files are in that folder. They will be split up into odd folders and the filenames wont be recognizable, but it doesn't matter if you have iTunes set to automatically organize your Music. It will do all the work for you in naming the files once they are on your Mac and in the iTunes library.

That's because you need to connect as SFTP, not FTP

You can also install AFP through installer then browse to your iPod through Finder.
