Sync your contacts to your computer through iTunes. I sync them to outlook. Then also choose to sync your iPhone contacts with outlook and everything will transfer.

You can also backup your iPod and then restore from backup the iPhone. So, backup your iPod in iTunes, then plug your iPhone in and restore it from iPod's backup(this will delete your bookmarks, contacts and save games from your iPhone and replace them with the ones on your iPod).

Doing it my way allows you to keep your phone's backup on your phone and you can add contacts to your universal contact list from either device.

iDrive Lite its in the app store

It allows you to upload your contacts to aserver and it is very quick and secure.

Then you download the app on your iphone and press restore

Hi, I have a similar question. I have my iPod Touch 2G and my brother's iPhone 4. My iPod Touch holds a number of common friend's contacts from our high-school which I want transferred over to his iPhone.

I cannot use the method suggested via iTunes, since iTunes on my PC will wipe away his iPhone if I attempt to sync. I cannot use the iCloud I don't have an account there - my iPod Touch runs on iOS 4.2. Thanks for letting me know how I can effectuate the transfer.

Gmail is out of question, since we have separate email accounts. I would rather keep it clean and not create a big mess just to transfer some dozen or so contacts. Thank you for your ideas.

Srahil, use some 3rd party program to transfer the contacts from your iPod Touch to your brother's iPhone via your computer. Copytrans Contacts will help you to:

    1. Transfer selected contacts from your iPod Touch to your computer.

To do so, run the program, have your iPod connected, and when you see your contacts appear in the program window, drag/drop the contacts from the copytrans contacts window to your PC desktop

The selected contacts will be saved to your Desktop on your computer

    2. Transfer the contacts from your computer to your brother's iPhone.

To do so, Plug your brother's iPhone to your PC with the contacts program running. Now drag/drop the contact entries from your Desktop to the program's main window

This will save the selected contacts directly to your brother's iPhone.

iTunes or the iCloud are not required for the contact transfer to take place.
