I am trading a 16GB used iPod touch (1G) for a iPhone 8GB (1G). The iPhone is jailbroken and on 2.2.1. So is my iPod. Do you think this is a good deal or not? Also, since the iPhone is being used without a carrier, can I jailbreak any firmware without worrying about basebands, or is that something I need to take into account?

Yeah, I'd say it's a pretty good deal.
The only thing is 8GB --> 16GB, but it's an unlocked phone, so..

Basically I don't know how he's off AT&T but he is. Anyway, I unfortunately have Sprint (CDMA). If I bought like a pay-as-you-go phone, do those have SIM cards and could I use it on the iPhone? I've never really paid attention to that sort of thing because my current phone is not unlockable and I have an iPod touch.
