I have been wondering if it was possible to trade in a 1st generation touch for a 2nd generation at an apple store. I doubt it, but what if it was "broken" and u still had the warranty?

They might make you pay like $50 or so if you want the 2nd gen

I thought they might make you pay extra for it. i'm pretty sure they used to do that with the PSP at gaming stores

This has already been brought up before. Apple will give you 10% off towards a 2g when you trade in your 1g. Its not worth it, you can make more selling it.

Agreed. The 2g looks too much like the iPhone from the front.
The first gen had that awesome black painted metal around the glass screen, unlike the second gen. Now I just wish my 1g didn't go through the washer.

Maybe but if so, they will ask for more money for the 2g like 150$ more or something.
