My girlfriend asked me to see if i can get her touch working again,

The screen does not work anymore, I have done a restore to 3.1.2 it was on 2.1 or something close, it still does not work,

I also opened it up to change the screen out for one I had bought but it still does not work.

I did not do a complete install i connect the screen to ipod while it was apart and i could not unlock it.

Does it matter if you test it this way????

Does anyone know of a way to fix this, There does not seem to be any water damage to it not red dot etc..

the only oother fault with it is the home button has to be pressed a little harder than usual to work,

Would this make the touchscreen not work???

    I have tried a restore

    thanks for any help.

My iPod touch 16GB won't even charge. I think it's time for us to upgrade.

But about your problem, try it that way. Either way, if it fails, it still won't work.

I know its an old model but 2 and a bit years does not make it old. I have bought the touch screen and it seems to work fine every other way it syncs and all updated to 3.1.3 now

    Any other ideas
