    Hell there!

I am experiencing an issue with my touchscreen for the ipod touch. For the most part it does work but when I use the keyboard section the letters/numbers on the far left of the screen will not work. Has anyone here experienced any similar issues? Does anyone have any suggestions? I have had my ipod touch 16gb for 15 months now so I am already passed my warranty stage. Its like the leftside screen and at times the top slide bar does not work either

A dead pixel affects the display. I don't think it affects the touch sensitive surface, unless there was some type of damage to that area.

    Exactly!
No, It can't be dead pixels!!
If it was, it would always stay in one area.

hmm you could take it back to apple and just pay for it to be fixed. Would be cheaper than buying a new one.

    Thats Strange .

Try restoring the system because i konw one old issue the first generation ipods had but that problem was that the whole left bottom strip of the screen did not work ( the space bar and that whole lowe pat ) it usualy happens if the iPod contacts a warm usb abd if very cold itsself , so first try restore and if that doesnt help that means its a technical issue .

    Heres a few tips:

    1) Make sure that you touch the screen with only your finger, nothing else works like a glove because the way the ipod screen works is by sensing the electrolytes from your finger not heat or pressure.
    2) Clean the screen
    3) It may be a screen protector that you have ontop?
    4) Make sure your finger is dry
    5) If none of the above work, use your warranty to get a new one!
