    I bought a 1st gen iPod Touch with a broken glass panel. After installing a new digitizer, it seems it has a significant dead spot on it. This can be seen using Scribble;

    Does anybody know if it's a digitizer or internal hardware problem? I've doublechecked and cleaned the connector and it seems to be fine.

    I would assume it to be a hardware problem

    That would be most likely, yes. I was wondering whether it's definitely the digitizer or if the problem could be something else.

    I'd say it would be the digitizer, for you had to replace it
