    First download iphone tunnel suite:
    http://iphone-tunnel-suite.software.informer.com/

Now go into the installation directory ( for xp it is C:/program files/iphone tunnel suite)

    open the folder itunnel

now make a new text document with this inside:

    itunnel.exe [port] [port]

(replace [port] with the port the program uses to connect to your ipod)

now save the file as anything.bat.

now when you double click on this file, it will trick your computer into thinking your device is connected to the same network

    Hope i helped.
it's not as hard as it sounds to do this

well, you do have a program on your computer to connect with wi-fi touchpad on your device? If so, it should be there.
for example it could be like

    ip: XX.XX.XX.XX
    port: 5900
