I've got an iPhone 3G and the touchscreen was not working.

I've replaced the digitizer however it still is unresponsive. Im going to guess its now a software problem?

I think its been restored, if it has then it didn't sort the problem. Can anyone recommend any tips and a download like to the 3.1.2 firmware (that is jailbreakable and unlockable) thanks

I replaced my digitizer when my touchscreen stopped working, but it didn't help either. Of course, it stopped working due to water damage. I think it was something deeper in the logic board that was fried. I restored it like 3 times and it didn't help. The computer would recognize it and I could even play music on it through my ihome, but no touchscreen.

I completely disassembled that ipod and it is no longer with us, R.I.P. haha now i have a 3rd gen
