I have the video cable from a camcorder (1.5mm into 3 RCA) like this site says.
    http://www.macdevcenter.com/pub/a/mac/2005/11/18/video-ipod.html
    It is a 2005 article.
My new Ipod doesn't have the same settings for TV that he states .I have pal and ntsc settings only.
I've hooked it up several ways swapping R Y W around and always get sound but the video still plays on Ipod but wont go to the TV
Any help besides buying the $ 50.00 cable from apple.
Seems like such a rip when I can get a regular cable for cheap.
Can't they make money at 25.00?

    correct settings

Those are the settings I have but no pic just sound.
I am using the 1.5 mm connector and not the flat connector like the ones I see listed on amazon.
Maybe this works for the 1g and not the 2g touch
Was an old post on the directions

Sadly you have to get the apple cord, which is $53 here at bestbuy. It has some sort of chip in it or something. I have the cheapy cord and it only works on my ipod classic.
