I was wondering if you could attatch a regular PC external hard drive to the touch and watch movies through it? Like through iFile, or dTunes or something? I'm getting one for Xmas, and was wondering if it would work, or if there's one that is specifically for iPod? Would be great to work on both PC and iPod.

Nope. Sounds like an interesting idea though.

maybeee if you could find a hard drive online, or better yet a flashdrive, pry open into your prehistoric iPod touch and find a way to remove the old hard drive and attach the newer one. If your up for that kind of stuff

    But really.

I doubt it'll work eother way. Better off just putting what you use on your iPod.

    Or upgrading.

Or carrying a netbook/laptop around with all your iTunes to sync...

Sounds quite interesting, isn't it true now that with 3.0 you can connect 3rd party hardware to your iP0T?

Yes it has a USB port, but I wasnt sure if I connected the drive's USB to the iPod sync cord if it would work or not. I was pretty sure it wouldn't, even if I went in to iFile or something to view it, unless there was a way to set it up so I could do that. It's just that it's 8GB and I have a ton of music and TV episodes and if I'm away from my computer, I can't sync it, making a 500GB ex. hard drive seem like the perfect solution. If I can have all my music and videos on the hard drive I'll have 500 GB of files everywhere.
