    Hi Everyone,

I am getting ready to sell my iTouch, so of course I want all my personal data off.

Does a recovery clear everything? I remember seeing a website awhile back on how to totally wipe all of that private data off the iTouch.

    Does anyone know of anything?

    Thanks,
    Dylan

To clear all information from a touch just restore it. It clears everything on it. Just like an iPhone. But if you have an iPhone its best to re-virginise it. Im not sure how to but google it.

Yes, all you need to do is restore your iPod touch. Make sure that if it asks you if you want to save your personal settings before default, that you choose not to. Everything will then be set back to factory defaults, aka, as it was brand new out of the box.

maybe u should try to restore it a couple of times and if u can do it with 2+ computers that should clear any personal data stored on it.... good luck selling it !!!

A hdd has 9 "layers" of memory, to get rid of everything on a computer you have to restore/format it 9 times to get rid of EVERYTHING so it can never be found again. Im not sure if this is the same for flash memory and the ipod though.
