I don't have a computer at home, only at work. I can't install itunes at work. Getting a computer next month for home use. Right now I'm using the ipod for everything. Can I do the jailbreak from the ipod or do I have to have the software in the computer.
    Version 1.1.5
    Thanks Guys and gals...

For 1.1.5, I believe the software has to be run from the computer.

If I connect my ipod to the computer at work, can I do it that way with out all the I tune apps. Because I do plug it in at work, but just to charge it up.

Personally, I would suggest upgrading to 2.1 if you can afford it. QuickPWN works like a charm for it, and since its the newest FW most new apps are gonig to be made for it. You donèt have to though, but i have never been on a jailbroken 1.1.5 so i cant really give you any advice on whats the best for that. If anything i would PWN rather than just regular jailbreak.

No you do need a computer for that, because it has to be upgraded through iTunes. If you don't have a computer with iTunes on it how are you getting your songs onto the iPod? but anyways, if you can get access to a computer with iTunes on it, you can do the upgrade from there (you would have to pay the person $10 cause thats how much the upgrade costs) and then you could use QuickPWN to jailbreak it. Make sure its the QuickPWN version for the 2.1 firmware though.

I have a wifi connection at home for my xbox360, so I can connect that way..

Another delima. Until I get my home computer working, I can't download new songs from the ipod. It's still registered in the person's email that I bought it from. I can't download under my email from the ipod until I get itunes correct?
Looks like I have to get the damn computer working.

What version of Itunes do I want to down load for the best jailbreak items.

I got this ipod used off craigs list, and it's all new to me.

You will need a computer for this. There is a jailbreak where all you do is visit a site and it jailbreaks your ipod. Unfortunately it is for an older firmware and without a computer you can't get the other firmware. You absolutely need a computer to jailbreak it.
