    Hey there,

I just finished jailbreaking my touch 16gb.. Beeing a completly n00b, still, I somehow managed to pull it off, mainly thanks to the Swedish Viking (thanks

Its my understanding that the apps reside in a "different" area of the diskspace.

That is however not the problem. The problem is the fact that both Itunes, and the ipod itself reports the "total" diskspace to being 300mb. Itunes even suggests that there are no free diskspace.

Have I done something wrong? Installing and using apps is all fine, but I sure would be nice to be able to put some music/vids into the pod as well

This is taken from the Touchdev Jailbreak Guide:

    Fix iTunes Syncing

    19. If you're not already there, navigate to /var/root and rename Media to Media_sym

    20. Rename Mediaold to Media. Keep the FTP and SSH (via the terminal) windows open.

    21. Open iTunes and allow it to activate. If it doesn't recognize your iPod, reboot it and/or restart iTunes.

This should work - it did for me.
