Tor (the onion router) works on jail-broken ios 3.2 - 4.

I think this is pretty important. First real browsing anonymous tweak, doesn't slow it down very much either. Totally awesome.

installing the .deb file there puts the repo you need into cydia

    install mobile tor

adjust your proxy settings for your wireless network
Settings -> WiFi -> Your Wireless Network ESSID -> HTTP Proxy Manual
and set Server as "127.0.0.1", Port as "8118", leave Authentication "OFF": iPhone OS SHOULD transparently proxying any traffic through the Tor network now.

might be old news but i searched tor and nothing came up so don't give me any flack about it.

also, there is an sbsettings toggle.

I can't seem to get this to work. When I have the network settings set up as described I get an error from safari that it can't connect. If I set the http proxy settings set to automatic instead of manual(with the suggested settings) however my safari works but I'm not sure if tor is. Any ideas?
