Short story short; 6 months ago my sister got shampoo on the screen, which caused some 'clouds' behind the top half of the LCD, along with an unresponsive zone, correlating with said clouds.
I've already replaced the LCD, which got rid of the clouds, but I still can't interact with the screen, anything higher than the second row of apps.
I've tried everything 'soft' (rebooting, updating, recovering, etc.), to no avail. I've been through every post on this forum, dealing with similar issues, and have tried most everything suggested.
My question is, whether anyone can recommend, based on the fact that the board shows no signs of burnt connections, replacing the digitizer? Or should I be approaching this job differently?
Obviously, if I was on warranty, I wouldn't be asking.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
