I am new to this whole developing thing, I have done mostly graphics and I am getting bored of it and want to learn something new. I was wondering if anyone can help me with these questions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am running Windows Vista, and have an IPhone 3g 3.1.2

    1. Where do I get toolchain for Windows?
    2. Is there an easy way to develop apps without installing a VM and MacOS
    3. Has anyone successfully created an app with Windows? What are they?

    Thanks

No, really, the point I was trying to make was you should have searched.
I just did it really nicely.

I have searched, but it seems like no one posts if they have done things successfully or not. I would like to know if someone has.

Forget the ToolChain for windows. I found a neat SDK for windows. It is c++ based and requires no objective c coding or Xcode. You basically edit a c++ source code file and it calls on objective c functions. Very Simple. I'm 15 and it is easy. But you must have history of c++. The SDK is Called DragonFireSDK. It cost $50.00 USD but right now it is in beta testing so it is free.Google it for more details. They will only take limited beta testers so hurry.

Yes, DragonFire is quite nice. I am a beta tester, and it is pretty cool. I also have a working xcode install on a VM that i make apps on, so i have the best of both worlds.
And truly, VMing os x isnt as hard as it sounds. I wrote up a quick tutorial @ http://tinyurl.com/TutorialBaseZJ
