    Uh...
How do I do this? I've looked around everywhere for how to compile the 2.0 toolchain on Windows and I have no idea.
Does anybody have a step-by-step guide that I could use?

currently the only way to get a toolchain is to build it. and at this time it would be extremly extremly hard to build on windows wihtout awesome knowledge of using the ported gcc and stuff. i know maybe 1 person that has built it, thats it. just boot linux and build it on there with http://saurik.com/id/4

you will not be able to build it expecially if you have not done this kind of thing before

guy above, that is for 1.1.x

Actually, I did build the 2.0 Toolchain under windows cygwin following sauriks instructions. I took notes when I did it. I hope to write it up if it is useful to people.

The only problems with directly compiling the SDK examples is getting the nib files that go with the xib files. You would need a Mac to compile the xib into a nib and then it is still the questions if the 2.0 Toolchain would work with it. I have never tried the nib stuff...

OMG! Dude, you GOTTA make a guide, please! I have a mac, linux (ubuntu), and vista, and i would LOVE to have it on my laptop with vista, it would be SO much easier.

I second *on my knees too* the request for a guide to build the toolchain under cygwin.

    wsdk

yesterday I saw a website saying that a team of people are working on a 2.0 toolchain they call it wsdk it looks pretty legit but I'm not sure if you give them a donation they let you have a go of the demo version but until then you'll have to wait but I dont think they can distribute it till applelifts their NDA

IF they lift it. and if you dont have the knowledge to build it yourself, then you really dont understand what is actually going on when you compile, and you probably shouldn't even be making iphoen apps
