This gets me carious. Everybody knows that TOM TOM is making a hardware for the iphone to use its GPS device for a car... Ok that great an all but what makes me wonder is why wouldnt they allow an ipod touch use its hardware and just a iphone... Be nice though what be even cool if TOM TOM would make a FM Trasmitter size for a ipod touch that use TOM TOM and allows you to download an app that enables gps with a paid app once a year or every few years to use it service. on a ipod touch when using the hardware... You know Im not saying I expect so much but I find the maps useless on a ipod touch. I still dont understand why apple includes it.... Last time I used it. I got lost on were I was walking too haha.. I ended up farther away from were I wanted to go.. So it sucked.

I guess TomTom don't think it's worthwhile investing all that $$$ into the iPod Touch - the majority of owners are probably 13 y/o kids who have no idea what GPS is

Well if your like me im an adult and not a kid. Ive seen some people like one person shopping at my job and even he has a ipod touch... So there not just 13 year old kids using the device there are even grown ups using it...

I think that they will release one with support. Its a big potential market. They can't ignore it.

And that is why TomTom isn't invested in the iPod touch. The iPod touch is marketed as a gaming/computing/media device. Adults will get an iPhone or something else that has GPS.

    Exactly. A computing device.

However, who says an adult can't game, or watch movies?

No. But I could argue that you were implying it...

But the majority are kids, TomTom probably don't see the point in re designing their product to accommodate a small proportion of people, not to mention the high cost of adding an exterior GPS unit will put off a lot of people in that situation.
