I cant seem to find some of my old favorite apps...

I really, really miss ToggleBacklight - it is an app that when opens toggles to the backlight to a dimmer or brighter state and toggle back and forth each time its opens. i use my touch in bed at night alot so that would be great to have again, i just cant find it in any of the cydia or installer sources that i have...

    anyone help?

There is a brightness toggle in SBSetting. But I'm confused as to what exactly you want :S

above is the application in action.

Its an application that you open and it changes the backlight to an oppisite brightness or dimness each time you open it. Nice for night time use, save you many steps to adjust your brightness, just one click.

Would love to find it again....

I have the orininal application files on my PC, its just for 1.1.5 firmware :-( anyone able to port it?

There is nothing as far as I know to do it that fast but by using SBSettings you only need to swipe tap swipe so its not much harder..

I'm with the OP - I wish this app was around for 2.x as well!

I'm stuck going the swipe, tap, and then dragging the bar down to the minimum, and then tapping the TWO close buttons. Its a pain, but is faster then waiting for settings to load.

ToggleBacklight was MUCH easier and I wish it was still around (or ported to 2.x)

    Oh well....

you know if you only tap the main close button it works too... you don't need to press both of them. And, that way, next time you bring up SBSettings, the brightness slider will already be up.

pressing the home button works also, but if youre in an app it closes the app.
