I have recently acquired an iPod touch. I use Firmware 2.1.
I would like to use the iPod to control my Windows XP machine remotely.
I use the VNC Lite (app on the iPod and server on the PC).
It works quite well until I need to do a right click or click a Fn key. Then I'm stuck.

Should I venture into the "jailbroken world" to explore solutions? Or is there a way to do this with the orthodox set of functions and apps?

More generally, should I bother with the jailbreak option? I am incline not to - unless there is a very good reason.

    Advice would be welcome.

theres an app in the app store called teleport that works very well (i can press Fn) but it cost 24.99 i think but if you jailbreak there are other means of getting this application that i can not speak of

yeah but thats too complicated of a process so just stay clean and not jailbreak
this is my opinion and you can choose to do whatever you want but this is what i feel is the best thing to do

    Jailbreak score: 3-1

Or 4 depending on how you look at it.

Just do it. It's simple and there's no reason not to have it.

Try a different VNC App you might have to pay some money to get one that does what you need. I wouldn't jailbreak. In my experiences it slows down my 2.1 iPod Touch quite a bit and it's no where near as stable.

Finally, some one who agrees with my beliefs.
Don't jailbreak and keep clean and in warranty.
