Ok, its starting to annoy me really, so here ya go. Apple employees telling us that there is not BT in that device.

    Code:

    Code:

That is two places that say that OFFICIALS have spoken on the subject and denied the existance of bluetooth.

Although there are so called "evidence" of bluetooth on the iPoT, people seem to get too excitied about it and have forgot some important issues. First, imagine you are using non-bluetooth enabled computer, you could of course find traces of drivers or API for bluetooth in the OS. But this doesn't mean that your computer has bluetooth, because we all know that there is no actual bluetooth chip on the computer and it only means that the computer is bluetooth compatible, and not bluetooth enabled.

Similarly, the iPoT and the iPhone shares a very similar OS, and I wouldn't be suprised if I came across any bluetooth related things (Drivers, on/off in debug mode, etc) on the iPoT. But remember, there is no actual bluetooth chip on the iPoT!!!. So unless someone is smart enough to remove the bluetooth chip from iPhone and PUT it on the iPoT, there is no way we can get bluetooth in iPoT

dont worry about BT ! we allrady working on samething

    hello all

ok , the IPod Touch dont have a BT Port ( thats a fakt now )
but dont worry the EXTRAByte.com team allrady works on a simpel
solution witch will works when the IPod tauch will be jailbraked too.

At the moment we are working on a littel BT Dongel for the iPhone
witch you can simply use the get a UMTS InterNet connection via your old UMTS cellphone .With our BT Dongel for the 30pin IPod connector we will allrady find cells phoens with BT Port , get a connection to it & a GPRS or UMTS connection with just same simpel AT commands !!! yeaaaa

ok.ok ! my English is not perfect ( becouse i am from Germany)! but my idea for a cool BT port will be ok
    - ok , dont tell it Dongel , it´s littel add on Box for the 30pin Ipod connector
    - this BT Modul will work very simpel with any computer/ cellphone /PDA ect how have a RS232/ serial Port witch is free for use . As i told before just send same AT command to the serial Port !
    - this BT Modul will work every where all over the world , you just need a Cellphone with BT Port & same higth Speed Data Service for it like UMTS /G3 over in Europa !

Yes, but this forum is on the Internet, so give the guy a chance. Bet you his English is better than your proficiency in his native language!

And if you want to be nit-picky both America and English should be capitalized!

EDIT: Hope it makes more sense now.
