to be or not to be...

    is it better to jb or just stick with the non jb itouch?
    like what are the pros and cons...
    what are the apps available in jb that are not available in non jb?
    or any other capabilities that is not in the non jb itouch...
    cause i have my itouch 2g for a few months now and a lil bit bored
    and im wondering if there are lots of new and fun stuff i could do with it..

    Well, go search around on what you can do with a jailbroken iPod. There's too much stuff for me to list.

    But for cons, your iPod will probably get slower if you use things like WinterBoard and apps that run in the background. Since apps can run in the background, you might experience a shorter battery life, too. Just be careful and read what you're installing and you should be fine.

    you could still get apps from itunes right?
    and whats the best program to use to jb? im on 3.0....

    The only program you can use right now is redsn0w 0.72 for the touch 2G.

    Of course you can get apps from iTunes. Why wouldn't you be able to?

    just a stupid question i guess...

    and the best thing to do to get the free apps and games would be just to google it right?

    btw ive seen a lot of post saying 3.0 has too many bugs at this time and they are downgrading to 2 and will be converting to 3 when bugs are fixed...is this true? cause i dont want to cause any problems w/ my itouch...

    I'm on firmware 3.0 along with thousands of other people. I personally have no issues with firmware 3.0 and I don't find it too buggy. I recommend upgrading to it rather than using 2.X. It has much more features and Apple will most likely be releasing 3.1 soon, Which means most of the bugs and problems that are in 3.0 (Not too many) will be fixed.
