okay, so i have a t-mobile phone & data plan, and i would like to buy an iPhone.
I've figured out that the 3g will not work on the phone & I'll be limited to edge which is fine i guess. I was wondering, does the iPhone 3g's GPS work on t-mobile?

    Because a 3GS is better?

I'm pretty sure the GPS would work with T-Mobile.

The GPS in the iPhone 3G and 3GS will work with any carrier - it will work with no SIM card installed. It does use "cellular assisted" GPS when it has service but it will still get your location with no service or with the SIM removed.

You know that all you really want is a Nexus One. Problem solved

well i read somewhere that you can. you just gotta change some account settings on t-mobile and settings on the iPhone and you'll get an edge connection.
