    Hey,

    So I'm ready to jail-break.

Here's what I have done so far:

I have installed libusb in Windows XP Service Pack 2 Compatibility Mode

I have installed the redistrubte thing that comes with CyWoods tool

I have renamed firmware originalFW.ipsw and put it in the proper folder

now I am on step 3 and can't get into DFU mode.

So I have a few questions,

    1. how do I get into DFU mode?

    2. What do I do next?

    3. How do I install Iron Man theme using iPhone Browser (I don't have wi-fi and it's the only thing I want right now jail-breaked on it)

    And that's it...

When going into DFU mode it brings up a screen that has a cable towards iTunes Logo and then it brings up iTunes and says its in recovery mode and cannot be used until recovered, then i un-plug and re-boot and it loads fine.

So any help is much appreciate!

DFU mode - hold home and off button for 10 secs and then release your finger off the off button and hold home for another 8 secs.

If I had a nickle for everytime i heard that...

DFU is supposed to be black.

Please try to make an effort to read other threads. Are caps seriously needed?

first of all, is this the second post you've made with the exact same content? All of the questions you've asked have been answered before, use the Search feature. Second, you CANNOT, CANNOT brick it. Take a look at the 100's of other threads already saying this.

At least try to search for these types of threads.

Open up Cydia. Download Winterboard, it'll ask you to reboot. (Remember that you'll have to run Cywood boot program to get it to start normally again.)

After it's booted up go to cydia again, search for Iron Man theme and download it. Next, go back to the homepage, open up Winterboard and make sure the Iron Man theme is selected. Respring and you're done.

Here's a guide for Winterboard. This is what you'll use for all your theme purposes. http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=102569
