eBay IMEI unlocking will be illegal? What about software unlocks and already unlocked phones? And even AT&T factory unlocks iPhones themselves.

    Okay.

    Illegal:
    • IMEI unlocking
    • Third Party Unlocking.

    Not Illegal
    • Companies (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, Tmobile, Etc.) Unlocking your iPhone/ SGSIII etc.
    • Phones unlocked before the date (no matter by what means it was unlocked).

That could probably backfire on telephone companies in the end. Me, for example, instead of now purchasing a new phone from Verizon or AT&T; I'm now going to buy it factory unlocked from Amazon.

wow how unfair, I just bought an iphone 4 and am waiting for the unlock code to be sent to itunes now, for a second i thought that it was already saturday but it is only friday, without knowing anything about this matter i guess i just got in under the wire, whew. this is totally unfair. is it legal to sell an unlocked iphone cause i have a 3gs to sell.
so does this mean that a phone is owned by the company who issued it and not the consumer?
