this may (probably will) sound stupid

    hey, i was just thinking about the jailbreak and everything, and i started to wonder wether maybe it was possible to completely remove the sig check by changing the thing that restores the ipod slightly... like if u could manage for it to restore everything except for the sig check or something?...

    i know it kinda sounds stupid, but plz dont flame to bad...

    Umm it is stupid because iTunes can't be modified as far as I know and why would u want to anyway??

    I dont think you can edit the thing that restores the ipod.

    That is not possible, because the sig check in question here is the one in the bootrom, and the bootrom cannot, and is not flashed when you restore, so its just not possible.
