I have an iPod touch 8gig MC which I just bought a few months ago. Now Steve announces the 4g with a video camera and retina display! AARGH!! Now i'm probably going to have to convince my husband to let me trade mine in!
It was expected and speculated for months. Apple always holds these events around September with a refresh for the entire iPod line.

Well its kinda your own fault for buying devices before doing prior research, besides the MC 8GB has the same old 2G hardware released back on 2008, so thats like a double fault for you, your iPod is outdated times 2. Apple releases a new iPod Touch on September every year just like they announce a new iPhone on June every year. I think this is all fairly easy stuff to remember of popular knowledge Maybe they are on a budget? and have to consult each other before making big spends
