I'd buy it in a heartbeat!!! But if it's like $300, I'd buy a bigger refurbished iPad for $350.

Who would bother. This is bs imo, just like how everyone got hyped about the 4S and 5 launching closely – if not alongside each other.

designers might not have to redesign apps, if apple created a 7.85" display with resolution 1024 x 768 (resolution of ipad 2) then no vector magic necessary.
also, why do blogs always claim "Apple is said to be testing so-and-so in its labs" well obviously, they're probably also testing table sized ipads, stylus pens and apple houses, but none of them are ever going to be released.
ever heard of R&D? companies make out-outlandish prototypes all the time, they have to - just to see

iPod Touch with a 3.5 inch screen, smaller iPad-looking device with a 7.85 inch screen, the iPad with a 9.7 inch screen. What's the point? I don't think there needs to be something in between the smallest and largest, that's just dumb IMO.

Oh and Android developers never have to worry about the resolution they make their games

My boss still wants an iPad Mini for phone calls and stuff. That doesn't make sense.
