yes ive looked for other topics, but nothing has this problem.
i have a wall chrager for my ipod touch. it was made for the other types of ipods but it charges it ok so i use it.
so today, i try to turn it on, it doesnt turn on. so i plug it in to the wall charger. it turns on, but instead of the lightning bolt, theres the ac plug picture. so then i restart it and it still shows the ac plug. so then i try to sync it with my computer to get it in order, and the computer doesnt recognize it and my ipod wont turn on. nothing will work, ive tried holding home and the lock button, doesnt work, nothing works. what can i do? keep in mind i can turn it on using the ac plug, but will not turn on by itself. restarting it wont work. i cant force it into recovery mode. what can i do?

Let it charge, your ipod is out of batery. It wont work with a flat battery

but he said he couldnt force it into recovery, there is usually enough battery to do that. i would plug it into the computer and forget about a wall charger for now. did you do any customization, you could have replaced the picture by accident : /

If you get the charger sign you cant do anything. I use the charger of my first gen ipod nano. there is no problem, it uses the same voltage as your USB port.

Just charge it for 10 min and it will turn on automaticly

the problem is, when i plug it in, it doesnt charge, it runs the ipod just using the ac power (the way it does when an ipod has full battery). no response from the computer, or my ipod when i try to plug it in. my ipod isnt modded, either (i tried once, but nothin happened there and it worked fine since then). the charger im usin was my dads charger made for the original ipod (with the row of 4 buttons, the FIRST generation. does that have different voltage?). i dont know what to do, but now i tried resetting all settings and data in the general options on it and that didnt work. im considering taking it to apple now
