I'd like to be jailbroken again, and I think I could deal with the tethered aspect. However, I'm worried about battery life on my 3G Touch.

Right now, I only need to charge once a week or so with moderate gaming. How much battery life will I lose by Jailbreaking? Is it significant if I'm not using anything but a few JB apps (Like NES)?

Battery loss should be the least of your worries on your 3G. Make the most of your iPod and jailbreak it.

Since it's a 3g, that's terrible. But you shouldn't just Jack some random thread.

It always depends on how much you do with it. For example I forgot PSX4iPhone open( I mean it didn't close with home) and it used 20% of my battery in 30-45 minutes. Don't use backgrounder unless you REALLY need it, it will eat all your battery. And I think themes, widgets and things like this use battery. Don't install like a maniac and you won't be affected very much :d
