Quick question about jailbreaking to 1.1.4.

I am on 1.1.2 at the moment, and dont really want to lose all my music (not worried about the apps, can install them later), and just wondered if I could update to 1.1.4 (leaving my music intact) using the modified ziphone by ipodtouchmaster05 instead of restoring to 1.1.4 (losing my music)?

    Thanks

Well yeah, but I have spent a long time getting all the album art on the pod!

I dont play my music through iTunes, so the album art is not stored with them!

Whats the best way to backup my music & album art before going on?

Use a program called 'iPod Access' to copy songs off the iPod to your com. You have to crack it though.

On a side note, it wasn't iPodtouchmaster's modded ziphone. It was fightforlife's mod and iptm just took it and made a video. Credit goes to to the dev team, zibri and fightforlife.

Will this preserve my album art also?

Yep, it 100% preserves your album art. iPod Acess rocks. =) Oh, and I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but the program I use is called "iPod Access for Windows" seeing that the actual iPod Access was made for Macs.

ipodtouchmaster05 never made a modified ZiPhone.
He and the rest of the development team he is in made a soft upgrade.

This soft upgrade will preserve your album art, music, videos, etc.
It will not, on the other hand, preserve your apps.
