    Ok, I am on verizon. I am thinking about getting an unlocked iPhone. How would I put it on the verizon network, since we don't use SIM cards. Would I still be able to keep the same phone number?

    AT&T = GSM network.
    Verizon = TDMA (I think?)

    you can't Verizon doesn't use sim cards and isnt GSM. It wouldn't be compatible with the iPhone 3G. You would have to get another mobile number

    It's been awhile since I've looked into Verizon but I believe their "international" phones that use a SIM card don't work in the U.S. and the SIM is only used where CDMA service is not available.
