I just received a new ipod touch 2g from my 2 year warranty. This one works great, even has the 3.0 firmware, but there is a thin red line that creeps up the right side of my screen in certain menus. It's not terrible, but I was wondering if there was some way I could remove it.

Here's crappy picture, you can get the gist. The menu here is the album menu.

    Can anyone help? Thanks.

Something might be wrong with the LCD...

    Contact Apple.

Bought it at Best Buy using the 2 year warranty, the first one I sent in because the buttons were messed up.

Go to Best Buy, and get it returned, and get a new one.

Do they let you replace it twice?

You could try putting it in DFU Mode, and restoring to official 3.0 firmware.

If that doesnt solve your problem, its either dead pixels, or a problem with your screen.

yea the'll let you return it as many times until you get a working one. as for the restore 99% change it will do nothing. that like is a hardware malfunction in the LCD

Its good to try a DFU Restore first, before you do anything else.
