I see all these threads about people needing help downgrading a 1g back to 2.2.1 (Myself included) and they're always linked to the 2g tutorial.

That. Doesn't. Work. With. 1. Gs.

Doesn't anybody know how to fix this?

Have yo even tried it? I was able to go between 3.0 and 2.2.1 with iTunes 8.1.1 using DFU shift restore.

    No, I haven't. But I guess I will.

    I'm downloading 8.1.1 right now. <_<
