I guess you better pray for some serious evaporation

He was using a wet rag and was prob pushing a bit too hard, and let some water in through some crack / bend (which happens slightly on the itouch when u apply lots of force to it - which can easily happen when cleaning with lots of force on an uneven surface, aka hand).

So it's not like he did something ridicously stupid or anything, just had a little screw up while cleaning it. Now the matter isn't how it happened, but how to get rid of it. Personally, I have absolutely no experience aside from watching a couple of guys do it on youtube, but I suppose you could take apart the itouch and clean it that way.

Trying to evaporate it is most likely next to impossible unless u pry away at the side it is on to expose it more, but that would easily completely mess up the itouch, so don't try that.

But seeing as you just recently joined and this if your first post, I'm guessing you recently bought your itouch so you still might be covered by the warranty. I have no clue on what the warranty covers (after being on these forums this long, you begin to forget what'ds true and what's completely made up for attention)., but you still might have some luck w/ the Apple tech guys.
