Once the iPad jailbreak is released, how do you think theming will work?

Do you think that there will be some modified version of winterboard (winterboard HD or something) to accomodate for the ipad, or do you think a completely new app will be developed for the ipad and winterboard will just stay on the ipod touch and iphone?

I think it would depend on if the theming would be different, like different folders or something, that winterboard wouldn't support.

Yeah, it's based off the iPhoneOS so I'm hoping it will be somewhat similar.

They Should Call Winterboard (FallBoard) For the iPad

The Dev-teams have come together to remake Cydia for the iPad jailbreak. Hopefully they also remake many of the popular apps such as Winterboard, and the whole theming engine, to better suit the iPad. However, this is just speculation.

i have a feeling there will be tons of complete springboard replacements on the ipad kinda like pogoplank but hopefully better, in turn opening a whole new door to themes.

If app developers have to remake their App Store apps to better suit the iPad, then I don't see why it wouldn't be any different for jailbroken application developers.

There may be a sort of "Device Selection" thing where you click on a jailbroken app and it asks you whether you have an iPhone/iPod touch or an iPad.

Meh, just a guess.. sounds likely, though.

yeah! that'd be awesome. I just feel bad for those of us with 1st gen iphones and touches. cydia is slow enough already, with the addition of ipad stuff i feel like we'll be reloading data until the ipad 2g comes out.

yeah good call. either way, an ipad jailbreak will open the door to so much customizing, it's mind bottling.
