I never use photoshop or any program like it, so i need some help:

I have already got a .png icon, and it is 128x128, and i want to shrink that down to 64x64. When I used imagicon, I changed it to 64x64 as a png icon, but my transparent background turned black...

How do I make a transparent background with Paint Shop Pro 8?
Is there a way to stop imagicon turning my transparent background black?

(PS. Sorry about my terrible "image-editing" software skills

Sometimes you have to use the "magic wand tool" and hold down the shift key to get the area you want to sort of crop. As far as transparency, you have to make sure that when you create a new doc the settings are set to transparency. Photoshop is tricky but once you get the hang of it, it becomes easy. To shrink an object, you have to go to edit and click on "free transform"
I hope this helps other than that, its all hit and miss kind of thing when it comes to starting a new program. Good Luck.
