seriously, look at the results. While this made me lol a little, it really does show how insecure geohot is... He just wants all the credit. But good for him, it'll make a good resume one day

Disclaimer: i understand that geohot using his exploit doesn't really do anything to the community, but he basically stole the "limelight" hehe get it

I wonder what exploit he used, btw it doesn't even work on some devices, look at the puddles of problems. Won't work, nothing installs...
What a fa**ot. He just wasted so much time, but he did one thing right, he make shatter release next year.

When the next generation of iDevices comes out, and they are jailbroken with the shatter exploit who are you going to thank? Or will he still be the guy who "screwed a whole community"

well you see, both exploits use a bootrom hack that apple supposedly wouldn't patch because they wouldn't know about it. Geohot basically stole the jailbreak. Greenp0ison was going to be announced tomorrow, and geohot was going to release his exploit for the fift gen devices. So yeah, also read my disclaimer thingy.

He is great. Obnoxious but great. Leave him. You have your jailbreak. Enjoy.

exactly, he released an untested, unstable exploit that chronicdev wasn't happy with. I'd rather have greenp0ison than limera1n. While both exploits allow to do the same thing, greenp0ison would have been way better...

They both could be used to jailbreak 5th gen devices in the future. But just the fact that SHAtter is limited to 4th gen devices (with the A4), it's more logical to use geohot's exploit since it covers more people.

They could always update it to work with non-a4 devices by that logic. If that can update it to work with the 5th gen devices(they most likely will get an upgraded processor...)
