the white plastic bit that comes with it

    Not the clear plastic stand, the white rounded one... mine says 14 on it?

    what's that?

    yep, if you own an apple brad dock you just clip it in to that

    The number on the dock adapter (the white thing your refferring to) apparently according to a user on iLounge, indicates the unit number of that particular manufacturing week. So your unit, since it has a 14 on it, indicates it is the 14th unit made in the week that your unit was manufactured. Take this with a grain of salt.

    cool ok... no good for me then. Apple should really have included a little guide at least... it's stupid.

    I think its for 14 for all of the ipot docks

    No you guys both have it wrong, for each different type or generation of ipod there is a dif number. I think my video was like 9 or something.

    Its 14 for the touch, for a 2nd gen nano, its 11, with a thin opening, and its to the right. If you have a iPod speaker system, you pop them into them, so the proper iPods can fit.

    That is not true

    I have a iTouch and the number is 16
    Anyway so it is the top of a iPod dock?
