Glad to see they went with the same IPS screen as the iPhone this time. But that only closes the gap between the iPod touch and iPhone even closer. Wonder if they'll ever throw a GPS chip into it too.

"More frustrating is the lack of GPS: this could be an absolutely killer in-car nav system with TomTom or Garmin apps and cached maps, but the capability is simply removed without any obvious reason why." - The Verge

lolwut? I'm not paying for a GPS service, nor has the iPod ever had one.

I'd rather know more about the operation of the system and SIRI than the loop...battery life and app opening times. I've never found a perfect review of any product.

there are plenty of free offline gps apps for IOS, u don't have to pay for any service... and ofc the ipod never had one cause apple keeps not wanting to add it. i've been wanting gps for a long time but they just refuse to add it on ipod. i might just sell my ipod touch 4g and get a google galaxy nexus for $350 instead and get much more functionality

Users looking for the iPod Touch for scary are in for a big let down, because to be honest, the iPod Touch 5 isn't that scary.
