But you're not forced to go with MetroPCS. The way you're saying it is like someone on MetroPCS is mad because the iPhone isn't on their network (like, say, Verizon users just a few months ago?). But you don't *have* to stay on MetroPCS once you get a phone like you do Verzion or AT&T.

Not when you're 15 and your parents choose your carrier for you...which in my case is MetroPCS.

A job? Really? I have plenty of other things to worry about besides an iPhone.

I have a hectic schedule and literally no time for a job.

    Let's see:

AP Tests Coming Up (Chemistry + Calculus BC)
    Track Meets + Practice
    Science Olympiad Studying
    Volunteer work
Homework and grades (I need an A in everything. Not giving that up for a better phone when I have an iPod touch)

I guess I could work on weekends but I'm tired a hell. I'd rather do something fun like play video games or watch TV instead in that time.

It's much easier to let my parents take care of the whole electronics/what can i buy? issue.

Another thing...I'm in 10th grade. What exactly do I need an iPhone for? My crappy dumbphone gets the job of calling and texting done just fine.

If you want money, get a job. If you're content with what you have, then don't.

Then don't complain about being forced onto a specific network.

I've owned both the iPhone and the Android OS and there are pros and cons to both. If I had the choice of owning an iPhone 4 or a Samsung Indulge I would without a doubt choose the Indulge and I'll explain why...

    1. 4G internet connectivity! The Iphone 4 is still only 3G! You would think considering its the 4th generation of the iOS that apple would make it 4G. i think that would be much more appropriate given that there were already 4G devices available when they released the iPhone 4.

    2. DRAMATIC SAVINGS over iPhone 4 plans. Yes the phone is $399 but the plan is only $60, taxes included! Lets say the iphone plan comes out to $100 after taxes (normally its actually more like $120 AFTER TAXES). Over the course of 2 years (average at&t or verizon contract length), you would save an average of $960!!!!! Without a contract!!! Yes the iphone is $200 less, but even if you pay an extra $200 for the phone, your still saving a net $760 with MetroPCS AND YOU HAVE FASTER 4G INTERNET!!!

    3. NO DATA CAPS!!!! MetroPCS does not have any data caps with its $60 a month plan (taxes included)!! Watch youtube videos and tether your phone to the max!!!!

    4. No jailbreaking required to access third party apps. A simple setting configuration is all that is required. It pisses me off when apple sends an OTA to the iphone and i have to wait weeks to jailbreak it again. The Indulge comes jailbroken right out of the box.

    5. Much more free apps in the Android Market. I was surprised to find that the android market has apps that are available for free, which you would otherwise have to pay for in the apple store.

    6. Awesome built in navigation, FOR FREE. You have to pay to get a GPS navigation app for the iPhone that compares to Googles navigation.

    7. DRAMATICALLY MORE CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS! VAST selection of live wallpapers, widgets, shortcuts, etc.

    8. ADOBE FLASH! This is a major dealbreaker for me. I love being able to watch every episode of family guy, smallville, lost, the simpsons, and just about any other tv show you can think of (yes even porn lol). Oh yea and I watched the superbowl and the ball drop in NYC LIVE last new years thanks to Adobe FLash. There is no way we could have done this with an iPhone...period.

    9. TRUE MULTITASKING. Listen to Pandora, while chating on facebook, yahoo messenger, aol messenger, surfing the web, sending and receiving texts, emails, notifications, etc. all in real time.

    10. Download virtually any ringtone, mp3 or youtube video straight to the sd card, FOR FREE! Why pay iTunes a dollar per song when its free????

    11. Install custom ROMS, get superuser privileges by rooting phone, and enable the ability to activate wireless hotspot tethering to any wifi ready device! This is AWESOME! With a Samsung Indulge you can cancel your home internet plan. It's just not necessary anymore. Thats another $30 bucks you save per month!

    12. QWERTY keyboard anyone? How about Swype text input? Not for you? Ok how about SYSTEM WIDE voice to text input. Who needs fingers when you can just talk? lol

The list goes on and on. Honestly it would take a MAJOR iphone upgrade for me to go back. The apps would have to be more free, I would need a QWERTY keyboard (I love my quick launch shortcuts! They are so convenient!), TRUE MULTITASKING, Adobe flash, a larger screen would be nice, more customization options, and 4G motherfcking internet for God sakes!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did I mention 4G internet???? Seriously Apple, get your sh!t together and get with the times.
