Samsung's information has been leaked. This phone, which was previously called the Samsung Forte, has been unleashed. This phone is a 4G phone that has head to MetroPCS. For a MetroPCS phone, and I repeat, for a MetroPCS phone, it's freaking awesome. It's the best phone MetroPCS has to offer.

    First, a benchmarking test.

Results: Yes, it runs Angry Birds.

Next, Specs. These are off the top of my head.

    4G LTE Capable
    1GHz CPU
    512 MB of RAM*
3.5 inch Display [No, it's not a Super AMOLED Display]
    Resolution: 320x480 [:-(]
    Camera: 3.2 MP
    Runs Froyo
This phone is poisoned with TouchWiz.

Now, these aren't the best Android specs you've ever seen, but they're great, considering it's the best MetroPCS has.

Oh, the price, you say? Why... um... $399.99.

Yes, it's that expensive. Plans start at 50 dollars a month.

Overall, it's nice if you're a dedicated MetroPCS customer and an Android fan that actually wants a phone that.. works. 4G is a nice upside too.

*Supposedly it has 512 MB of RAM. No one has confirmed that as of yet.

why in the world would you pay 400 dollars for a frikkin phone on metro pcs when you can get the iPhone for half that and plans arent too ridiculous (if you are on a plan by yourself)

or a better Android device on a better network for cheaper.

    logic doesnt add up.

    oh and.. wtf.

This phone barely stands up to the iPhone 3GS...

    What?

    It has

    • 4G
    • 1.0 GHz CPU
    • PowerVR SGX 540 graphics
    • 512MB RAM

And it's expensive because MetroPCS's plans have no contract. You can quit anytime without a cancellation fee.

Ah okay, so technically it's its unsubsidized price, which isn't that bad then.

It's not supposed to. But, it has basically the same specs... The only plus the iPhone 3G has is the App Store.

MetroPCS is meant to be a cheap carrier. You get Unlimited calls, texts, and data for as low as 40 a month. Compare that to someone like T-Mobile, or Sprint, where all three unlimited are 99 dollars/mo.

Out of curiosity, where did you get that info?
In a sense it actually is, the Samsung Craft was MetroPCS's first 4G phone and it used to be 399, and it ran that dumbphone Brew MP OS. More 4G Android phones will come along, and this will end up getting marked down like the Craft.

Then again, it's much better than paying 800 dollars for an unsubsidized phone from another carrier.

And an iOS phone that runs on both CDMA/HSPA+ without contract for $399 is? What about one with 4G LTE support?

Froyo is a more than decent mobile OS.
