Did you notice how Apple is finally changing and listening to what we want? (e.g. Multi-tasking, Folders, etc.) Maybe Steve Jobs want friends... or maybe their losing sales...

When I looked at these charts, it justified my thought that Apple could buy us all. But, I'll save that thought for later. Look at the second chart (at the bottom of the pic) It shows profits from every year. Every year (since the beginning of the iPod in 2001) Apple's profit rised, topping the year before... BUT, in 2009 Apple's sales dropped a little. "Oh No!" I heard Mr. Jobs cry. He's never felt like this. In order for the iPod to do well this year (2010) and not drop again, he pulled out the big bombs. Could we be seeing some really cool iPods this september... and even cool iPhones this june? I'm hoping for an iPod touch 4G w/camera, because I'm gonna give up my 2G and buy the 4G. (As Crapple is dropping software support)

This is just my opinion and something I noticed. What do you think? Am I wrong?

Hmm.... Interesting. Many of us thought it was to stop Jailbreak

It could be that too. Now that you say that, it makes me look stupid lol. Well, I guess it's just food for thought, because only Mr. Jobs knows why.

They aren't really opening up to opinion, we've wanted this for a long time. They were bound to use multitasking and folder sometime in the future. So I guess in a way they are listening to what we want. That's just my opinion.

Edit: and if they really wanted to stop jailbreaking. They wouldve introduced this stuff a while ago, IMO.

It is to compete with Android IMHO, which has been offering most of this stuff from day 1. I wouldn't say Apple are opening up to opinion though, the app store is just as, if not more locked down than ever before.

I agree with Alpacaman. Droid is starting to beat down on apple, and sometimes even I think I would prefer Android instead of iPhone because of the features.

Well they can't fully open up. Or App Store will have porn. The iPod touch will have GPS, camera, phone (lol), and a toaster. The iphone will have a coffee-maker. iPad will be able to contain blood. And their new product will be called iTit.

On the serious side, Apple is opening up a little bit because I doubt Steve Jobs wanted to "ruin" the simplicity (and "confuse" us) with the homescreen backgrounds. But he did because we wanted it.

Yeah....but then again all those Adult Picture apps were never supposed to be in the App Store either. Steve Jobs/and Apple said there would be nothing of that sort to ever set foot in the App Store, and then a few months later there they are. So we can't say what they would or wouldn't do, as it is up to them in all actuality, for the sake of maintaining sales companies would do things that people would never expect.

I just meant porn in the app store, as in a category. But I did contradict myself with that because Apple had an explicit section, but removed it. I was just explaining that Apple IS opening up imo, but they aren't opening up to everything. Just certain things

Well, Steve is certainly worried about the threat posed by a (finally) genuine competitor to the iPhone... If he and his people do not do something about the iPhone, sooner or later Apple will surely lose market share to Google...

Speaking of adult pix apps, there seems to be loads of these stuff all over the App Store eh... Even the Malaysian one!
