    FIRST COMMENT!!!
So when you say a zillion do you mean literally or is that a figurative expression. Either way, that's a lot of lawsuits.
    GO APPLE, win this one!!!

It's an approximate figure. Slightly less than a bajillion, but more than umpteen.

LMAO Motorola's request is the funniest thing iv'e heard all day. It'd be funny if apple just bought Motorola to shut them up.

If you can't beat 'em, sue 'em.

I bet apple itself actually patented most of what everyone is suing everyone else for. Remember multi-touch used to be patented by Apple whatever happened to that?

Actually multi-touch started in the 80s "Multi-touch technology began in 1982, when the University of Toronto's Input Research Group developed the first human-input multi-touch system"

Also "University of Delaware researchers — Wayne Westerman and John Elias — who received patents on key aspects of multi-touch capacitive touchscreen technology while they were employed by the university" [1]

Apple is also getting sued for muti-touch over a patent filed in 1996 by a Taiwanese chipmaker Elan Microelectronics. [2]

The validity of Apple's Patent is questionable
