This is a discussion thread for the "The Loop: No Apple Event Whatsoever in February" story posted on the front page.
These analysts and people don't know what they're talking about. I'm not saying there is an event in February or anything but the analysts know about as much as we do. All they do is look at years past and guess. Maybe they have a connection with an Apple employee, but if Apple's going to do something big, they're not telling everyone in the company, the big names are the ones that will know about it beforehand and they're not talking. I take everything these analysts say with a grain of salt, especially after the whole iPhone 4S/5 debacle last year. When Apple wants to hold an event, they'll send out the invites when the time's right, end of story.
No, that wouldn't make sense to tell EVERYONE about the new products. I think it's on a need-to-know basis.
still. its not that i don't trust him, but well, people read this stuff and believe it. i mean, hes a very reliable source with more insight then most, but a statement like completely debunked on his word alone? Think that could have been put in better words then that. Thanks for the news anyway!
Nope. Retail employees definitely don't find out until a little while before release, and not all others are told. Too easy to leak info. that way.
