    Hi, guys
the itune can't detect my ipod touch when I plug in.

when I turn on the recovery mode, a screen pops up and tells me to install apple device software.( it also shows in "Devices management").

Then I try to turn on the DFU mode and itune detect it. it appears like:
    Name: ipod
    capacity: n/a
    software version: n/a
    serial number: n/a

When I press restore and check, it pops up and says :software for this ipod is not currently available. Make sure you have the latest version of itune.(But I am running the 8.1).

when I try to restore with the firmware (2g) that I downloaded. during the process, itune pops up "unknown error" and stop the installation.

does anyone know how to solve it?
where can I download the apple device software for my window?

    please!!!! help....
