Hello, I am having a Problem with my ipod touch, i wasn´t using it for almost a year, because i got my iphone then.

When i connected it to my mac, i got the message that the ipod has to be restored, so i followed the screen.
After itunes downloaded some software, it extracted it and after that i got the error message. In order for itunes to recognize the ipod, i had to press home and lock button and then let go of the lock button.

+ Its been a while, I can´t tell you whether the ipod touch 3g is JB or not, or which software was on it.

Can somebody tell me what to do?

I have a mac, but I have the possibilities to use a XP or windows 7 machine.

    Thx,

    kimber

iTunes might be downloading a corrupted firmware. Locate the file and delete it. Then try again.

If that doesn't work try Xp or Windows 7.
