    My personal opinion is, it will be £200 tops with O2 for PAYG.

    Now lets wait and see if right

    With Pay as you go you are paying the full price of the handset, the contract option means you seem to pay very little for the handset (ie £99) but the 18month contract which gives very little talk time or free text means they will make much more out of you to cover the remaining handset cost and then give a tidy profit.

    The UK Pay and go prices are likely to be pretty much the same as listed for Italy. I think if you don't want a contract then the best option is still to pick up a v1 iPhone off ebay and unlock it.

    I agree. I was hoping the price wouldn't be this high but it looks like it is. Hopefully 02 may knock £50 of the price of each handset but i don't see any more then this.

    If this is the case i will but the old iphone and unlock it and wait for a really reliable unlocking tool for the 3g. Don't want to end up with a £400 door stop lol.
